How We Got Started

Glory Learning is borne out of Shae Landy’s desire to help struggling families navigate the multi-faceted challenges related to having one or more children with learning difficulties.  Glory Learning is an ongoing endeavor that will improve with age and experience with different learners, families, and settings.

 

After 20 years of teaching in mainstream and special education classrooms, Shae found the traditional models of classroom instruction not individualized enough for learning to take place for kids with learning challenges.  She grew weary of knowing what her students needed but, for many reasons, was unable to provide them.  That frustration enticed her out of traditional education and into the realm of individualized learning support.

 

Since 2019, Shae has been developing a model of Academic Coaching that teaches evidence-based skills to students to help them in any unique educational setting.  Shae believes that knowledge is power, and it is her desire to empower students to learn the way they learn, no matter the teacher, topic or environment.
